White Pine Precision is building a plant near Micron's Clay campus to clean and re-coat the chamber parts that fabs replace on a schedule. Operations are planned to begin in 2028.
What we do
Process tools in a fab run with replaceable chamber parts. The parts wear under plasma, come out on a set interval, and go to a service shop to be stripped, cleaned, re-coated, and returned. That is our business.
- Chemical stripping of spent coatings and process residue
- Precision cleaning to specification, with ultrapure water rinsing
- Ceramic coating by thermal spray, yttria family
- Inspection and measurement, with results shipped with every part
- Cleanroom packing and return, in days
Where
Central New York. The plant is planned near the Micron campus in Clay, within reach of GlobalFoundries in Malta and the equipment makers' service organizations that serve both.
